In light of National Volunteer Week (19-26 June), we’d like to celebrate and recognise the incredible contribution that our volunteers make to Enliven. We really value the time of efforts of our wonderful volunteers and know their support is essential to us.
It’s volunteers like Stewart always volunteering for one thing or another, who really make a big difference.
Stewart has been involved with Scouts for more than 30 years after stepping in to help out with his son’s group.
He also helps out at an Enliven Day Service as part-time assistant, a paid job which was “only supposed to be temporary” when he started 10 years ago, after volunteering as a van driver. He leads Tai-chi and gentle exercises to music with the members, and takes them on picnics and outings, sharing his wealth of local knowledge.
