Dees Social Group
On Auckland’s North Shore we run Dees Social Group in a partnership between Presbyterian Support Northern and the Mairangi Bay Presbyterian Church.
Dees Group is a fun, friendly and stimulating environment for people living with early to moderate dementia, who are living at home. Others looking for a social occasion are also welcome. Members meet once a week. Each four-hour session provides friendship and stimulation for members, and a welcome break for their families.
Some examples of our group activities include:
- Tai chi and ball skills
- Social conversation
- Indoor bowls
- Board games and quizzes
- Singing
- Memory games
- Entertainment
