We are proud and excited to announce that Enliven Northern has been recognised as a Dementia Friendly organisation by Alzheimers NZ. The journey to becoming a Dementia Friendly organisation started in 2018 together with the wider Presbyterian Support Northern family of services.
Enliven Northern is committed to following up on this award, and continuing to focus on maintaining and further developing our Dementia Friendly status over the coming years.
In New Zealand, 4 out of 5 Kiwis are affected by dementia in some way. Today, around 70,000 New Zealanders are living with dementia, and this is expected to almost triple by 2050.
