Hot Desk for Taikura Trust Will Strengthen Ties with Enliven

Enliven Waitemata is sharing some of its office space with the Taikura Trust in a move to strengthen ties between the two agencies  and promote collaboration between them to provide better services for clients.

From mid-June, a hot desk will be set up at Enliven’s Waitemata site in Henderson for a Taikura Trust employee to work at one morning every two weeks.

Every eight weeks a new Taikura staff member will come to work alongside Enliven staff.

Marlon Hepi, the Trust’s General Manager of Service Delivery, and Andrea McLeod, the General Manager of Enliven Services, signed a Memorandum of Understanding at Enliven Waitemata to mark the move.

The Taikura Trust is contracted by the Ministry of Health’s Disability Support Services to provide a Needs Assessment and Service Coordination service to people aged under 65 years with a disability who live in the greater Auckland region.

Janette Third, Enliven’s Regional Individualised Funding Manager, said the hot desk would allow open channels of communication and better services for clients.

“We have had a professional relationship with Taikura for many years and have worked extremely well with their staff. But because we are all busy our contact has been by phone or email and we have not physically met. This is about putting names to faces and will be a win-win for everyone – most importantly for our clients.”
