International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2021

He aha te mea nui o te ao? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata. What is the most important thing in the world? It is people, it is people – it includes all people.

This Friday, 3 December marks the annual International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This year events move online and there are a couple of interesting FREE live streams to join in with.

The first event Language Matters is a live stream discussion about language and how the way we talk about people can influence whether we see them positively or negatively. Join CCS Disability Action and guests for a discussion on the impact of language on our friends and whānau who are living with disabilities.
