In light of National Volunteer Week (19-26 June), we’d like to celebrate and recognise the incredible contribution that our volunteers make to Enliven. We really value the time of efforts of our wonderful volunteers and know their support is essential to us.
Warm fuzzies multiplied
Know that warm fuzzy feeling when you donate to us? Now you can multiply that by 33.3% because it’s tax time! If you donated to us between 1 April 2015 and 31 March 2016, you will receive an annual donations summary in the mail during April/May.
Bequest lives on
A bequest from former Waikato farmer Harry Fawcett is continuing to help people from all walks of life, from babies to grandparents. Mr Fawcett’s bequest to Presbyterian Support Northern represented three generations of work on the farm.
More grows in the garden
Vegies and flowers are not the only things growing in the community garden plot next door to Enliven Carruth’s Day Service in Tauranga. Friendship, skills, and neighbourly pride are also flourishing in Plot 39..
The good scout
Stewart helps out at the Pohutukawa Day Programme in Whakatane as a part-time assistant, a paid job which was “only supposed to be temporary” when he started 10 years ago, after acting as a volunteer van driver.
