World Alzheimers Awareness Month

World Alzheimers Month is a worldwide campaign that is taking place this September. The aims are to raise awareness and build understanding about dementia, as well as challenging the stigmas associated with the disease.

In New Zealand, 4 out of 5 Kiwis are affected by dementia in some way. Today, around 70,000 New Zealanders are living with dementia, and this is expected to almost triple by 2050.

Help raise awareness about dementia and become a Dementia Friend by completing the on-line quiz: Become a Dementia Friend
